Assistant Coach / BJJ Brown Belt /
Leroy has been a mainstay over the years at the gym, helping to assist and cover in almost every class we run.
As well as coaching he’s also a BJJ Brown belt and has competed around the UK and also at the World Championships in the USA.
He has a great approach to coaching after many years as a primary school teacher and he also has an additional string to his bow with an extensive background in strength and conditioning training.
You will see Leroy in most classes, but his primary coaching roles include assisting in the adult classes and teaching in the Kids Classes.
Wrestling Coach / BJJ Purple Belt
Scott is Factory’s Wrestling Coach.
He began Wrestling back in his native Oklahoma in the USA, aged just 5 years old.
Since moving to England, Scott has trained in Catch Wrestling and also added BJJ to his grappling toolbox.
Scott is also a BJJ Purple belt, who has won a number of medals in BJJ competitions, including Gold at the IBJJF Amsterdam Open.
Scott teaches the Wrestling class on Wednesday at 6.15pm but you’ll also see him training in the gi throughout the week in the regular classes.
Assistant Kids Class Coach / BJJ Purple Belt
Cat was the first woman to train at Factory and since then has worked hard to get more women involved in training – and it has worked!
She was also the club’s first female blue belt and also the first purple belt Adam promoted when he got his black belt.
As a coach she assists in the Saturday Kids Classes, where the kids (especially the girls) love working with her.
Cat has competed in BJJ and is a regular in the evening and weekend classes at the gym, looking to improve her game and help the rest of the team.
